Tara Primeau began her carpentry career in Manitoba, working on remote sites, and pursued formal training in fine woodworking early on. She is a certified Red Seal Carpenter.

Over two decades she moved from the shop floor through fabrication, crew leadership, and complex site installations across North America — work that regularly involved crane coordination and problem-solving in remote environments.

She started Flat Rock because coordination was consistently the weak link on complex builds. The company works with an independent network of fabricators, bringing the process, drawings, and field experience to see a project from design through installation.

Flat Rock collaborates closely with architects, engineers, and contractors on high-end architectural projects, and brings hands-on attention to every project.
